Reading Wil Wheaton's (temporary)blog has driven me to want to stick him into a poker manga. Or something. Yakitate!! Japan / Hikaru no Go stylized, with Wil as the main character. About poker! It hasn't been done yet, maybe it shall revolutionize the world.

A new series from Tamora Pierce called White Tiger will be released with its designs by David Mack. I devoured her novels when I was younger and when this series is released, I will buy it gleefully.

Conversely, Marvel is trying to make me cry. I don't even know what to do with this thing. How much mythology is enough, Marvel? It fascinates me in the same sick fashion that Kingdom Hearts did when it was initially announced - there's really no option but for me to read it when it comes out.

I continue to find the strangest things on the internets, including Utada Hikaru doing a cover of Green Day's Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Cillian Murphy singing. Great listing by Ralph Koster (Star Wars Galaxies creator, Ultima Online lead and generally responsible for getting people addicted to MMORPGs) of the lessons that them bigarse fancollective continuum games teach 'ya.

We're doing more and more sparring in my karate class. While a couple of the girls are apprehensive about having an opponent, we all have fun. There's a particular girl who has been in tournaments before, and is amazingly fun to spar with - she's on the bigger side and is a good foot taller than I am. She's is easily one of the best in the class, and has an amazing kick that has nearly had me on my butt a few times. I'm getting around an hour or more exercise every day, and it's becoming apparent. :D

I'm re-installing the newest version of Photoshop - apparently 9 doesn't agree well with some of the settings I had in 8. >:/ Those sketch-thingies shall then be finished yays. I also have an art project for one of my classes which I hope will turn out well. I love using digital media, but the biggest problem for me always seems to be somehow printing out whatever I've made. This time through I'll be doing high-quality copies on transparencies, and I'm thinking I may end up having to shell out a few bucks to go to Kinkos or elsewhere to do it. - -

I spent far too long trying to find this on the internet, and feel triumphant in having made it mine. This song came out the year I was born ('86) and I remember being a kid while my dad would play the LP, dancing around and singing along to it like the gleeful tard I am.
